Gemidan Koncernen har fået til opgave at modtage, behandle og bortskaffe det kommunale madaffald, der indsamles på hele Fyn!
Derfor er vi stolte af at kunne meddele, at Gemidan Ecogi snart vil påbegynde opførelsen af endnu et Ecogi forbehandlingsanlæg i Danmark. Anlægget vil blive bygget i Odense N og bliver Gemidan´ s 4. forbehandlingsanlæg i Danmark.
Med endnu et forbehandlingsanlæg følger Gemidan i Danmark den planlagte og gennemførte strategi med fokus på bæredygtighed og reduktion af transportemissioner. På grund af de kortere afstande i værdikæden vil et anlæg “lokalt” på Fyn bidrage positivt til færre transportemissioner. En del af Gemidans strategi er at forkorte affaldets vej gennem systemet, ved at skabe mindre enheder og derfor bygge flere af dem.
Når anlægget står færdigt, vil Gemidan kunne håndtere en årlig behandlingskapacitet på mindst 60.000 tons madaffald fra kommuner/affaldsselskaber og emballeret/uemballeret madaffald fra virksomheder og industri på Fyn og omegn.

The Gemidan Concern have been assigned the task of receiving, processing and disposing of the municipal food waste collected throughout Funen!
For this reason, we are proud to announce that we will soon start the construction of another Ecogi pre-treatment plant in Denmark. The plant will be built in Odense N and will be Gemidan’s 4th pre-treatment plant in Denmark.
With another pre-treatment plant, Gemidan in Denmark follows the planned and implemented strategy focusing on sustainability and reduction of transport emissions. Due to the shorter distances in the value chain, a plant “locally” on Funen will positively contribute to less transport emissions. Part of Gemidans strategy is to shorten the path of waste through the system by creating smaller units, and therefore building more of them.
When the plant is completed, Gemidan will be able to handle an annual treatment capacity of at least 60,000 tonnes of food waste from municipalities/waste companies and packaged/unpackaged food waste from businesses and industry on Funen and the surrounding area.
